Officially- no
Potatoes are no go once they start to sprout, and definitely if there are green patches
Unofficially- they're fine. The green bits are worth cutting off, but they're not really poisonous, it's just a combination of old wives tales and a throw away culture

I only chuck stuff away if I can see mould.
Otherwise (especially with veg, and it's just gone a bit soft or wrinkly) it gets chopped up and made into vegetable stock which I freeze for soups and stuff.

I waste WAY more than I used to
But in my normal state of being I use everything I can. I'm still adjusting to my new lifestyle though and it's taking a bit of getting used to

Being part of a duo
ie: can't just skip meals if I want to or make some random concoction up to use up what's in the fridge.
Well, I still do, but it has to at least be edible to others now ;)

Nighty night pretty lady!
and bread mould is fine (unless you're allergic to it)
it just tastes horrid. so you can cut off the bad bits and consume the rest with glee

Exactly.
Cut it off, toast the bread, cover it in marmite.
I can't be doing with nancying about.

Yeah, they're fine.
Pull the sprouty bits off, peel and boil as normal.
The rule of thumb is potatoes are usually fine.

EFFORT
You have to go outside and do things, and you get no mash at the end of it.
