# Nanny State
Bloody hell, what's next?

Story

Cricket bats, hammers and screwdrivers are also tools of violent crime. Ban them now!

# Aye
I've got quite a few replica weapons, but I'm not about to go all KIKIKIKIKIKIKIKIKI and murdalise people.

Well I might. But only a bit. Chavs, so that barely counts.

# did you get the pic i sent you the other night?

# No...
(, Wed 12 Dec 2007, 11:41, archived)
# really?
i sent you a pic of sam the other night
(, Wed 12 Dec 2007, 11:42, archived)
# Did you?
Didn't get it, unless I've had an aneurysm and forgotten the other night.
(, Wed 12 Dec 2007, 11:47, archived)
# hmm
i'll try resending it now
(, Wed 12 Dec 2007, 11:48, archived)
# Well, at least we won't lose the test match.
Sometimes I think England are just naturally useless at the sports they invent.
(, Wed 12 Dec 2007, 11:40, archived)
# Not at all
I invented the sport of climbing around my living room to get things without touching the floor and I'm ace at it.
(, Wed 12 Dec 2007, 11:41, archived)
# I used to do that.
There was some charity anti-landmine thing recently where a parkour chappie was to cross the whole of London without touching the ground.
(, Wed 12 Dec 2007, 11:44, archived)
# I bet I'd beat him.
(, Wed 12 Dec 2007, 11:48, archived)
# You did not invent that.
I used to do laps.

I was fucking ace.

My brother also did it and lost his front teeth on the radiator.

He is a sucker.
(, Wed 12 Dec 2007, 11:45, archived)
# Yeah, but do you do it now?
I invented ADULT indoor clamberage.
(, Wed 12 Dec 2007, 11:48, archived)
# I fucking do.
It's more of a challenge, as we have removed one of the sofas, and moved some chairs around, the gaps are awesome.

We are getting new sofas soon, I've been planning to break them in with a few laps as soon as they arrive =]

# I wish to see some sort of video contest
(, Wed 12 Dec 2007, 11:50, archived)
# I think it should become a nationally recognised sport.
I mean, everyone does it, they just never admit it.

I think if equal obstacle courses were constructed, laps should be done.

*schemes*

# Oh we so need to have a duel.

# yes
and it shall go in the newsletter

# *throws down the gauntlet*
Although, it is more appropriately themed, so it is gauntlet shaped cushion.

# We're just pretty good at coming second at the moment

# Unbelievable!!!
A British person that's good at sport?!

# I inherited an old sabre from my grandfather this year
Will I turn it in if they become illegal? Will I bollocks.
(, Wed 12 Dec 2007, 11:43, archived)
# If it's a 1796 light cavalry sabre...
...I'll sex you for it.
(, Wed 12 Dec 2007, 11:51, archived)
# Good grief
stupidity pushed to an extreme

Woo pic btw
(, Wed 12 Dec 2007, 11:44, archived)
# But I'm sure in this case
it won't be the same as every single other time, where the people who are truly mental and spazzbrained will still get their hands on the weapons
while the sensible law-abiding people are punished for it
(, Wed 12 Dec 2007, 11:47, archived)
# If I was a mental...
...and the little voices told me to violently murder someone, I'd certainly reconsider my actions should the government ban "samurai swords".

I'd use a garden spade instead, so they'd better ban those, too.
(, Wed 12 Dec 2007, 11:50, archived)
# exactly...
(, Wed 12 Dec 2007, 11:57, archived)
# it's all going to be in the small print
as to what classes as a replica or not.

would a paul chen practical katana be classed as a replica or a training weapon? it only costs a couple of hundred quid, is that deemed 'expensive'?

i think this ban is wrong, unless they ban all blades, kitchen knives, etc...
