I HATE THOSE! where do they come from? i think my sis put somtin on my pc that makes it evil but I CANT FIND THE BASTARD PROGRAM!

is a support tech for a very large ISP. Two days ago, he downloaded an infected file and ran it without checking it for viruses.

It's quite amusing sitting on the opposite side of a room to someone when their harddisk gets formatted against their will.

i didnt even think of it as being part of windows messenger. the pooter admins at my school turned it off becasue we would all use it for fun and stuff. hmmmm. now if only i could figure it out.....

... find servces and turn off the messenger service. Only have XP to hand, Control Panel->Admin Tools-> Component Services... etc...
Turn that fucker OFF. If you don't know what it is, you don't need it (it has nothing to do with windows messenger or anything of that ilk).
