# Balls to both of you!
There has not been a decent games console since the SNES.

And there hasn't been a decent game since Cool Spot!

virtua tennis was awesome

# The Dreamcast was brilliant
it failed because:

It didn't support DVDs
It was very hard to copy games

If it weren't for those two things, it would have been huge.

# It had chu chu rocket
that was win

# It failed because the PS2 was so utterly huge.
Shops were actually advising people against Dreamcast in favour of PS2.

I'd say the PSOne was a superb console as well. People look down on the Sony systems because of their stigma, but beyond your Tomb Raiders there were shitloads of great, innovative titles.

But yes, SNES best so far.

# I still love my Amiga
Back in the day when games where fun.

Actually, this is partly why I like the 360 - the downloadable games are proper classics

# No
Im not spending almost £300 on a console that wont have any good games for ages.

I already did that with the 360

Now you're saying I have to buy another one? What sense does that make?!

# I watch it using a DVD player and telly mostly, but you could
stick Power DVD or some such thing on your PC and hey presto!

# I use VLC as its free
and useful for cutting up films. The main point is that I have an expensive brick that does nothing sitting by my tv and im peeved

# oh well
This is why I use a PC for gaming. I can fix it when it goes wrong, which reminds me - I have 2GB of memory to add to one of my machines today.

Does it start at all? Any power? You've probably done it already, but try changing the fuse in the plug, just in case.

# Its a hardware problem
and a common one, so it should be free to fix.

I play most games on my PC, but consoles can have good stuff
