It's just a general trend in a few things on deviantart I've noticed.
Of course there are people who practice in all realms, and so are rounded out well, but people seem to focus on one thing.
I focused a lot on drawing males and drawing eyes and colouring. So I'm not so good at females and I'm still shit at anything below the waist.

This is what I call a face:

And colouring:

But all silliness aside, you're pretyy fucking awesome, and that's an understatement.

If I could hug you now.... you'd probably call the police.

It's not painty enough for things I tend to like.
I do like your painty things by the way =)

It sounds a bit rude, for me to say I'm not fond of things which look too filtery, but it's true.
The most filters I tend to use are blurs, and occasionally that one which makes circles, polar to linear or something.
I like masks though, and opacity and levels and such cleocatra.deviantart.com/art/Artist-response-to-C-Remy-80897271

painted, from scratch with photoshop brushes. No source material or excessive filter work. ( I did use the fibres filter to create the water, it was an easy cop out after spending 7 or so hours on the rest of it and getting to the bored stage ).
That's a nice manip. I like a bit of that stuff.
