Also, he is being awkward.

true story

# Pointless DVD extra:
Making the polygonal lasso sword actually took up almost all the time required to make that image.
I must have made it at least ten times with various different techniques until it finally looked right.

# warp tool
and a crap heap of copy and pasting?

*plus that dodge gumpf?*
(, Sat 19 Jul 2008, 1:36, archived)
# Well I think first I tried just drawing one with the path tool and colouring it the same - Looked shit.
Then I tried cutting out the sword and warping it - Looked shit.
Many many variations of that and then eventually I had to cut up individual tiny pieces of the sword which had the right colouring and rotate and size them all into the right places.

You'd think that would be straight forward but it seemed to take fucking forever.

# I find it's always the times you think "well it shouldn't take that long."
is when it starts to get out of hand

# Agreed,
that's a she :/

(, Sat 19 Jul 2008, 1:29, archived)
# I don't know.
I wasn't sleeping underneath it cos my bed is still moved away.

So it only works if you sleep directly under it?

# Apparantly dream recall is essential to starting lucid and 'pleasant' dreaming.
I say 'apparantly' as the whole field fills me with a sense of skepticism and rage generally only equalled by religion and self help books.
(, Sat 19 Jul 2008, 1:33, archived)
# Hahaha
another technique is to look at your hands while dreaming ;)
(, Sat 19 Jul 2008, 1:36, archived)
# Dream recall definitely is a skill you can learn, or a knack you can acquire.
And lucid dreaming is a genuine phenomenon. I don't know if it's possible to 'make' it happen though, or if there's any link between the two.
(, Sat 19 Jul 2008, 1:37, archived)
# I have fairly passable recollection of my mental dreams.
I don't question that lucid dreaming happens, I do question that it's really very impressive though or something to bother trying to attain.
(, Sat 19 Jul 2008, 1:48, archived)
# i used to wonder about my lucid dreams
whether i was really lucid, or just dreaming that i was. then i realised that the same problem applies to being awake, and my brain gave up in rebellion
(, Sat 19 Jul 2008, 2:26, archived)
# I've had a few near misses
realised i was dreaming then tried to fight to stay in the dream as i woke up

and one weird one were i realised i was dreaming as i was back doing work experience at bizarre magazine about 6 months after i'd done it.. and as i realised i was dreaming it became very difficult to move as i had to force myself around relearning my footsteps... and every one into that dream gathered round and smiled at me encouragingly as i tried...

but now i look back on it i confuse my self with the question well couldn;t that of been a dream about lucid dreaming.. and that thought circle makes my head hurt.

I had one recently where i kept waking up then going back into the same dream... that was awesome google was trying to take over the world using stormtoroopers. t'was wearing your scrotum as a hat mental that one
(, Sat 19 Jul 2008, 1:42, archived)
# I have literally no acknowledgement of dreams, in fact I don't even really feel conscious in my dreams.
Even when I'm somewhere obvious which I should know isn't real, I'm not thinking in dreams, things are being thought for me.
But on the upside that level of disconnection means I never get bad dreams or anxiety or anything, plus they are always fucking weird.

On the downside it sort of feels like you are watching a 1890s silent movie through greaseproof paper.
(, Sat 19 Jul 2008, 1:53, archived)
# I never consider them nightmares
i think that level of detachement happens for me too..

as i was in a RPG attack narrowly misssed being exploded.. and there was fucked up bodies every where.. that was a weird one...

I also dreamt in animation once. I helped popeye defeat a trex. best. dream. ever.

# Oh I've died several times before.
Fell into lava and vapourised, blew myself like the final scene in Leon, drowned (that was quite a weird one).

They are still all grey and fuzzy and shit though. I demand HD! With 5.1 Surround sound!

# hmm, I think I dreamt of some military folks operating tanks that were designed by cockweasle
