I know why toast lands butter side down. Give me presents and i will tell you.
(, Tue 29 Jul 2008, 15:13, archived)
# 'Cause it's heavier?
And also because of the toast's height (on the average table or from the hand).

I know which came first out the chicken and the egg.

It's about the aero dynamics of toast. It has time for 1/2 a rotation in the time it takes to fall the average distance from kitchen counter (or hand) to floor and it is almost always butter up when it starts to fall.

If we were 12 foot giants toast would land butter side up.
(, Tue 29 Jul 2008, 15:32, archived)
# Yeah? Well wanna know what I heard?

# Yes! But by frame 4 it's: "Well okay then, I think I'll land THERE"
...frame 6 is all "La La La I'm a cat"  *nonchalents*
...and 7 is "Time to chase butterflies, thataway".
