i copy/pasted the monster into each frame individually then went back and applied the pulsation to each frame. not fun, but gratifying in the end.

i just toggled it up and down and to the side in photoshop then picked slightly different frame orders in imageready.

that's probably all wrong, but it's what i've figured out.
