The Happening

is the worst movie I have seen for many years, whereas No Country For Old Men is pretty good.

The Village is worth a punt if you've got an afternoon to kill

it's certainly no worse than signs.

But he's certainly suffering the Guy Ritchie syndrome of starting at his best and then declining into farce.

I thought Signs was dreadful though

so my enjoyment of The Village will probably be nil

Agree with the Ritchie comparison though (though I prefer Snatch to Lock Stock)

The Village is ok if you don't twig the ending about 20 minutes into the film

I liked the Village quite a bit

where as Signs made me feel angry that some people still get paid to produce this crap, and it sells regardless of being a shitty farce.

But I appear to be in a minority admittedly.
