I'm going to threadjack this reply
and ask for opinions:
I have a shitload of cleaning to do today (apparently mr b3th has arranged for plumber to come round this afternoon without telling me, which gives me exactly no hours to clean the whole house to sparkly perfection, which I am doing by sitting here looking at b3ta)
What type of music should I be listening to, very loudly, while I whizz round the house with my hoover, bin bag and various assorted cleaning products?
EDIT: Thank you all for your helpful input.
I think I will just go ahead and put on my eighties playlist.
And ROCK OUT!!!!

why clean the house for the sake of a plumber?

ok
Lighthouse Family then.
but, seriously, I like to listen to some blues when I'm cleaning. Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, early Dylan... actually 70s Dylan if I'm wanting blues.

That's easy.
Britney Spear on a stereo that will only stop playing it when you've finished all your cleaning. I think you'll find you complete it in record time.

No, see...
I'm quite sad and I like Britney, a bit.
I have wildly eclectic musical tastes.

impossible to clean when you're busy doing The Dance.
I think you should listen to the Blues Brothers soundtrack.

Ah, but you can at least dance with the hoover/duster whilst shaking your tailfeather.
Saturday Night's pretty limiting, no?

oh i agree
much cooler dancing can be done while listening to the Blues Brothers. I think that is required. Backwards hopping while hoovering would be sweet. I think it cleaning up while listening to Everybody Needs Somebody might actually be quite empowering. I shall be giving that a try next time.

Years ago I frquented a local that had a rival pub.
I happened to know that in The Rival only the boss had the jukebox keys as the staff would shuffle past someones paid song if they didn't like it.
So when I knew he wasn't in I walked in and put Saturday Night on fifteen times.
The poor bastards couldn't even turn the volume down!
EDIT: BB soundtrack! Good call! Queens Greatest Hits is another one. Not only can you hyper clean to Bohemian Rhapsody but you get to re-enact the video to I Want to Break Free

how ironic that the rival pub was called "The Rival"
what are the chances?

Statistically
1 in 7 pubs cannot not not be called "The Rival".

That's nice but I did not say that.
However 1 in 7 pubs can be dwarves.

would it ruin my street cred to admit
I actually have both of these pieces of musical greatness?

wait, you actually OWN them, and yet you're NOT listening to them?
that's just wrong.

Indeed.
Exile On Main Street's got lots of those. Or pretty much anything by Led Zep.
