# These guys are the latest ones to fashionably hate, aren't they?
Move over U2!

# I wouldn't say that...
It's just that their sketch show is dreadful, and no-one seems to rate the film.

Gavin and Stacey is still brilliant though

# I've still not got around to watching that
I dipped my toe into Horne and Corden, didn't really do anything for me. Bland sketches based around very shoddy writing
/humble opinion only

# Some of their sketch show stuff is OK
I enjoyed the Born Again Christians until the song, and the "I shagged your mum" sketch.

I think they've got potential to be quite good.

I know everyone in tellyland is wetting themselves about them because of Gavin & Stacey, but I still think they're good.

# Tellyland is wetting themselves
because they are popular with affluent teenagers who will spend money on mobile clips and whatnot

# Well quite.
The same reason pop music is, er ... poplier.

I think Nirvana put it well entitling one of their songs "Radio-friendly Unit-Shifter".

then he shot himself... lightweight

# Exactly.
He could have at least OD'd.

# Those are my thoughts too.
Finally caught up with Gavin & Stacey over the last couple of months on BBC3, and loved every minute of it.
It's a shame about their sketch show, as I think they had some real potential. I found James Corden hilarious on 8 Out of 10 Cats and Never Mind the Buzzcocks. The film reviews I've seen are, without exception, damning, so I'll steer clear.

# i've yet to see the film but it does rather seem to be treading on shaun of thhe dead's toes a bit

# Hey!
I was hating U2 way before it became fashionable.

# are they?
are we allowed to find them incredibly unfunny? much like catherine tate.
(, Wed 25 Mar 2009, 12:29, archived)
# absolutely.
I think I would prefer to have a Catheter fitted rather than watch this retard.

# ^oh this^
shagging the head of BBC entertainment did her the world of good

# I LIKE THEM
I don't think they are the best thing since sliced bread, but they are young, they will gain experience, and they make me laugh
(, Wed 25 Mar 2009, 12:40, archived)
# I wouldn't say hate, I just don't get it meself, I've not seen them doing anything amazing or even clever and yet they're bloody everywhere,
and the skinny one seems to behave like he's royalty and like everyone around him should lick his shit, which aggravates somewhat.

Saw the fat one on Sunday Night Project tho and he was ace, dead funny and totally relaxed, not up hissen at all.
