# I made a steampunk thingy today, for no good reason.

Click for bigger (188 kb)

It's an old Hard drive, a flexi lamp from Ikea, a key pad from an old iPaq, some fake gems, a lazer pointer and some holographic glitter.

There is a sculpt of a hand holding the pointer, which aims at the disk of the hard drive, which is covered in holographic glitter. So in the dark it fills the room with little points of light, which move if you spin the disc.

I don't know why, but it passed an evening.

# Inexpensive plastic objects?
Small pork outlet rubs constant prisms against a transient blue sky of love and hope leads to callus with tentacles and unexplained porcupines on lost boating adventure to the jungle with a searing implement of haughty barometric dependence. Alas, screwed nomenclature with indecisive recalcitrance blows evidently blasphemous angle. Some clever ointment perusues cleaver as though the sword of damocles festering corpulently with vestige in compartments.

When tree expense obviates conductive paste with materialistic antideterminism the lead of hope ties cordially into vast temporious fetitude. Simple desire to receed invective bliss caught triumphantly! With plastic sandalwood containers of sawdust implicit in categorisation derive unsightly lupinity, such is a consumate dispersal. With gradual spasm into forced precipitation bowls of trains via a porous membrane.

# Fetitude is an interesting word.
searching for it produces lots of badly OCR'd documents, old ones from the days when people did more sailing and exploring.

HmbwsHold' Having perused Hudsons Joiu'nall written by his owne oiih'hope hsitid in that Voyage wherein hee had sight of certaync ^hfi^Talso ^ Land, which he named Hold-with-hope ; I found that by his owne reckoning it should not be more then one hundred leagues distant from King James his New Land, and in the fetitude of 72. degrees 30. minutes or there-abouts ... there is a spacious Sea betwixt Groinland and King James his New-land, although much pestered with Ice ; I will not seeme to disswade this worshipfuU Companie from the yeerly adventuring of 1 50. or 200. pounds ...

Nice work.

Not your job to school me but I wonder how hard it would be to steampunk mod a motorcycle, already 90% ratted out (everything nonessential gone, other bits painted black), in such a way that it would withstand being ridden (and parked) in bad (and good) weather.
Every gauge and the clock are already analog, which keeps making me want to lean in that direction.

I'll bet that you have links it would take me an hour to find on Google.

Cheers
