# Hello goodmorning people.
Tell me what music you enjoy.
(, Mon 28 Sep 2009, 9:05, archived)
# I enjoy Jungle/Jungle Techno/Old Skool Hardcore/Drum Funk
amongst quite a few other musics.
(, Mon 28 Sep 2009, 9:08, archived)
# I don't know what that is, but as long as you think it's good it doesn't matter.
(, Mon 28 Sep 2009, 9:12, archived)
# i mostly enjoy..
banging a spoon on a jamjar
(, Mon 28 Sep 2009, 9:12, archived)
# I made a noise with my face.
(, Mon 28 Sep 2009, 9:13, archived)
#
Right now: Fink.
Later: Pivot.
Some time in between: Blur
At an indeterminate time: Philip Glass - Company
(, Mon 28 Sep 2009, 9:14, archived)
# Glass, huh?
I always preferred the more noisy contemporary composers, myself. Can't go wrong with Blur though.
(, Mon 28 Sep 2009, 9:15, archived)
# With Glass it's only the "Company" prelude.
The rest of his stuff sounds identical but slightly worse.
(, Mon 28 Sep 2009, 9:16, archived)
# Opinions on Reich?
(, Mon 28 Sep 2009, 9:18, archived)
# Not a fan really.
Max Richter is more my sort of contemporary composer, mainly because he likes to play with electronic equipment occasionally.
(, Mon 28 Sep 2009, 9:24, archived)
# ah, I like Richter - all the poetry stuff can piss off though
(, Mon 28 Sep 2009, 9:28, archived)
# Richter has some fantastic works, definitely, 'Berlin By Overnight' being something I could listen to for hours. Personally I like the more 'out there' stuff like Arvo Part, Iannis Xenakis and Karlheinz Stockhausen.
B3ta, as a whole, tends to have a taste in music I very much agree with.
(, Mon 28 Sep 2009, 9:29, archived)
# I have a lot of Glass, but not Company
I like it as a bit of background music, though

# Angels of Light

Thanks to a certain tip. Girlfriend likes it too.

Morning peoples
(, Mon 28 Sep 2009, 9:15, archived)
# We Are Him?
All Angels of Light is good though. There's a track of theirs called 'What Will Come' that has this fantastic 80's horror flick sounding synth riff in it which I just cannot get enough of.
(, Mon 28 Sep 2009, 9:16, archived)
# I don't have them with me right now, so I can't say

It sounded pretty good though.
(, Mon 28 Sep 2009, 9:26, archived)
#
this morning: The New Year, Venetian Snares, Monotrona, Hrvatski
(, Mon 28 Sep 2009, 9:17, archived)
# Excellent! A Venetian fan.
Spotify sadly lacks in tracks of his though :(
(, Mon 28 Sep 2009, 9:19, archived)
# aye
so much going on

my gf finds it impossible to listen to
(, Mon 28 Sep 2009, 9:23, archived)
# I can only place Venetian Snares out of that lot. I trust the rest are good though.
(, Mon 28 Sep 2009, 9:19, archived)
# everything except Punk, that heavy metal stuff where they do nothing but scream (I just don't get it, but proper metal is great), and I am getting sick of the influx of indie pop bands that all sound alike.
so, stuff I actually like: anything classical, pretty much anything from the 60's, 80's pop (ahhh, memories...), alternative stuff like BoC, I have a particular passion for soundtracks, and the list goes on and on...
(, Mon 28 Sep 2009, 9:21, archived)
# ANYTHING classical, you say?
I'm currently playing some Gérard Grisey who is deemed contemporary classical. The current track is an 18 minute dirge titled "Partiels (18 Musiciens)".
(, Mon 28 Sep 2009, 9:26, archived)
# ah, ok, not EVERYTHING....
having your orchestra all where plimsoles, then all walk out one by one in silence IMHO is not a piece of classical music...
(, Mon 28 Sep 2009, 9:30, archived)
# Lets just agree that Erik Satie is awesome.
(, Mon 28 Sep 2009, 9:32, archived)
# if you've got Spotify
(, Mon 28 Sep 2009, 9:27, archived)
# Oi loikes that oi does.
(, Mon 28 Sep 2009, 9:32, archived)
# yeah
one of my favourite things of the past 5 years
(, Mon 28 Sep 2009, 9:39, archived)
# gah, I don't have Spotify....
(, Mon 28 Sep 2009, 9:36, archived)
# try
(, Mon 28 Sep 2009, 9:39, archived)
# That's not Eluvium at all :(
(, Mon 28 Sep 2009, 9:41, archived)
# this is true
(, Mon 28 Sep 2009, 9:42, archived)
# :C

I think I'm going to listen to Low and clean some dishes. Good rabble, posse.
(, Mon 28 Sep 2009, 9:43, archived)
# oooh, that's awesome!
I may well buy that this evening...
(, Mon 28 Sep 2009, 9:46, archived)
# Furthermore to Nibus' recommendation, I'd say try (if you haven't already)
Roky Erickson & the Aliens and The Chameleons.
(, Mon 28 Sep 2009, 9:30, archived)
# I've listened to teh Chameleons before, never tried "Roky Erickson & the Aliens" - I'll have to have a look for that
(, Mon 28 Sep 2009, 9:54, archived)
# steps
(, Mon 28 Sep 2009, 9:32, archived)
# I particularly love the intricacy of the performance
and the way the chorus doesn't make your ears bleed at all.
(, Mon 28 Sep 2009, 9:34, archived)
# I'm in a library music kinda mood at the moment
Alan Hawkshaw
Keith Mansfield
Syd Dale
David Lindup
(, Mon 28 Sep 2009, 9:52, archived)
# Haha, oh my! Not my sort of thing, personally :)
(, Mon 28 Sep 2009, 9:58, archived)
# Midlake, Bjork,
and Norwegian (death, black, whatever) metal.
(, Mon 28 Sep 2009, 9:58, archived)
# Not a huge fan of death/black metal. There are some exceptions to the rule though:
I love Portal (Aus) and Lurker of Chalice/Leviathan is quite alright too, along with Velvet Cacoon - Genevieve.
(, Mon 28 Sep 2009, 10:12, archived)
# I am mainly going to see Agnostic Mountain Gospel Choir on Thursday
so that is what I am enjoying this week
