An old bloke offered to move his daughter's car for her. He'd never driven an automatic before and floored the accelerator. Thinking it was the brake he pressed harder. He missed people, a tree, a Grade 1 listed building, another tree, and jumped it into the pond.

The emergency services were called. 4 police cars, 2 ambulances, 2 fire engines, and eventually a recovery truck.
