How to get there:

From Leeds city centre - go under the bridge by the railway station, heading towards the M621, and Water Lane is first on your right once you're across the river. You'll recognise it because there's a huge construction site on the corner of Water Lane and the A653.

From outside the city - take junction 3 on the M621 and head towards the city centre on the A653 (Victoria Road). Keep in the left-hand lane. As you approach the bridge over the river, you will see a large building on the other bank with "KPMG" on it. There are two sets of traffic lights here, about 20 yards apart - after the first, filter left into Water Lane (also indicated by a small yellow left-turn sign saying "Green Bank".)

About 150 yards from the main road, Water Lane splits into two; the Cross Keys is about 10 yards down the left fork, and there's an open-air pay and display carpark clearly signposted on the right-hand fork, just opposite.

It's a nice place, if a bit expensive by Leeds standards. The staff are a friendly lot, and there's a wide range of beers and wines available. The place is a potential goldmine for Leeds-based B3ta bashes. Let's get in there now before the yuppies overrun it!

if you come off the M621 in the right lane for junction 3, and drive towards the centre, you can way too easily get trapped on the A653 road.
