I watched the first 10 minutes of the Wall Street movie and thought it was fucking shit. Anyone else?

I really enjoyed it. I mean he's clearly an unscrupulous arsehole, but I thought the film was fun.

I managed two of the three hours. It was very pretty and slick, but I just didn't care, or find it funny. It was just so OTT, such a grotesque caricature, so desperate to be shocking that it was just utterly meh. I also thought that while Scorsese perfected the voice over in Goodfellas, here it was very clunky, and the breaking of the fourth wall was just hammy. Apart from that, I loved it.

I find him massively over-rated and can't 'believe' any character that he tries to portray.

Some genuine laugh out loud moments. And Jonah Hill (I think?) was brilliant.

I think the fact I haven't seen the film it is referring to, nor even the trailer, has no bearing on this. It's irrelevant. In fact, I learned everything I needed to know from the comments here to confirm that I didn't need to see the film or even the trailer. This video has filled the hole in me that was left by not seeing the film or trailer it is based on. So thank you to everyone involved. In helping fill that hole. Right. Bored now.
