I combined a ridiculously tiny chess engine with lovely pixel art of The Queen’s Gambit to make a surprisingly challenging little game.
Don’t get too upset if it kicks your arse…

It took about 20 goes though. Losing 19-1 isn't a good look.

the ones you get on plane inflight entertainment spring to mind. Though on the second run I had a closed position which it didn't seem to be programmed for, and just moved its rook around ineffectually while I built some overblown attacking position on the right at my leisure. Be nice if she took her blouse off when you win, but 1k's not a lot to play with

Not that I know what I’m doing in chess anyway, so that’s hardly a surprise.

I beat it with the Danish Gambit after a few goes. Took a while telling pawns and bishops apart once the game opened up which made me do a few cock ups but apart from that it's great.
I'd like to see a black and white / greyscale version.
