I think my epiphany moment on digital advertising was when FaceBook cheefully showed me an adverts for Nigel Farage talking about Brexit with Christopher Biggins on GBfuckingNews. This was a couple of years ago but how the fuck the algorithm came to the conclusion that this was something I was interested in was a mystery.

Every, fucking, video. I'm convinced YouTube are making their advertising as irritating as possible in order to make you crumble and sign up for a paid account. Fuck that.

So don't use the app. YouTube works just fine in Firefox on mobile.

I mean, what kind of a mental twatjob would you have to be to put your money in somethign like that?
I also got an advert where Farage popped up saying that for a fee he'd record a personalised message for mothers' day. I told my mum who replied with "you'd be written out of my will before the end of the message."

when FB simultaneously suggested I might like a pro-independence page and a pro-union page. Not exactly subtle. It kept suggesting both types right up to the vote. I didn't click any of them.
My favourite was "Great Britain is under attack by Separatists!"
