(Extremely) long time reader, first time poster!
Digits, which was in an earlier b3ta newsletter, got killed off by NYT for not being popular enough. I was sad to see it go so I resurrected a very blatant, uh, homage to the original. It's a daily game like Wordle except where you do maths to make a goal number. Five rounds each day.

Beat the clock per round (same timer)
Beat the clock per round (any time remaining gets added to the next round but the difficulty increases or there's less base time in successive rounds)
Final round, you're given all but one digit and several (all but one?) operations so you have to identify the missing digit, operator and potentially the sequence to follow.

In the NYT version the difficulty definitely ramped up as you went through it. I'm not sure that's the case here.

For increasing the challenge, I always though a timer starting from your first move would be a good addition. You would challenge yourself to do the math in your head before clicking through the game.

Are they all provably solvable?
If so, any chance of getting a "Show me the solution button" ?
What about a timer? My scores would go right down of there was one :-)

The goal is generated from a hidden combination of the digits, so definitely solvable. Yeah, I could add that :)
Not sure I want a timer as well as counting number of moves, I reckon they're at odds with each other.

By the way - the Share button doesn't work for me (Firefox on Linux). I had to grab that from the console

Just to be annoying.

Oh man, I loved Digits. It had the right level of difficulty. Everything else was either piss easy like the Mini crossword (completed in 45 seconds this morning) or far too difficult (like trying to get an unbroken run of 45 in Tiles).
Edit: I understand you're aiming at mobile, but I'm on my laptop, so it would be really great to get some keyboard support.

This is an excellent game though.

So add a timer (with music), ascending difficulty and a "could they have done better Carol" button. Does it track history?
I'd show the numbers one game at a time with different levels and as soon as they load a timer starts so you don't get to solve it in your head before the timer starts.
Then sell it back to the NYT for $15m.
