This is a normal post I'm no Trump supporter,
but to be honest, he's the only president in decades who didn't start a new war.
(, Sat 1 Jun 2024, 19:20, Reply)
This is a normal post Not for lack of trying.
He increased extrajudicial drones strike executions, assassinated the head of the Iranian Quds, and nearly started a nuclear war in Korea. He also wants to quit NATO and is no friend of Ukraine.

This is a normal post So what you're saying is
That he's the only President in decades who didn't start any new wars.
(, Sat 1 Jun 2024, 20:06, Reply)
This is a normal post So what you're saying is it's fine to kill more people than Obama, disrupt NATO, provoke North Korea and Iran, and encourage Putin to invade Ukraine,
as long as you make no formal declarations of war.
(, Sat 1 Jun 2024, 20:22, Reply)
This is a normal post I think you're confused
The only formal declaration of war, involving the United States since WW2, was against Panama in 1989. What you were saying is that Trump is the only President in decades not to start a new war.

This is a normal post Also
The issue that you were upset with was that Trump was the only President in decades that didn't start a new war. Can we get back to that or are you just tacitly agreeing.

This is not a true statement. You use lies and don't try to substantiate them.

You don't defend your mistakes, just make new ones. Oh and call me names. Is that all you have?

This is a normal post No
I was trying to understand why Trump was the only President not to start a new war in decades, was a problem.

I don't think he did, do you?

This is a normal post you made the claim, I'm sure you'll be able to list one that either clinton and obama started, being the thoughtful bloke you are
there was some nato bombing in yugoslavia under clinton, but the serbs were already kicking the shit out the kosovans. Obama came to power with afghanistan and iraq already in full swing and there was mostly drawdown in his terms. Likewise obama did bomb libya, but there was a civil war already going on there. Neither of these limited interventions would be described as wars in themselves.
I could google, but as I was alive during these events I'll just have to rely on knowing stuff. But I am curious
(, Sun 2 Jun 2024, 7:14, Reply)
This is a normal post This echoes my thoughts on the matter
I mean, the words "start a new war." do have a pretty well-defined meaning that I don't think apply to most presidents in the last few decades. I can think of Vietnam, Korea, Afghanistan, Afghanistan/Iraq.

There may be others, but they escape me for the moment.

This is a normal post and Trump wasn't exactly a dove
he bombed syria, had that tit for tat with iran where he drone striked that general.
Still, he did seem to get on well with Putin. He lifted sanctions against vlad until it was blocked by congress, back when there was still a few in his party that would stand up to him. He must have said sorry for annexing crimea and promised his buddy donny he wouldn't do it again. "I iz nice guy, da. Trust me"

(, Sun 2 Jun 2024, 18:14, Reply)
This is a normal post There are two main parties, making it a 'two party system'
because of first past the post, which makes it so that you have to vote against the party you don't want instead of voting for the party you do want. It's nothing to do with what you are told by *them* (rather paranoid of you to think that, I'm sure they will increase surveillance of you in the near future and adjust your information feed)

If we had proportional representation, more people would vote *for* a party, as opposed to the FPTP result that means voting *against* a party.
