This is a normal post I know right, I can imagine millions of people kicking themselves thinking, 'why didn't I think of that'.
I didn't even know Android was open-source, I thought Google owned it, so would require a market share of the device.

The idea of all those android games, and maybe even apps/who knows running on your TV is interesting, especially all those old-school emulators and other mad shit.

Because usually the only way you could upscale them would be by either playing them on your desktop or on a tablet, this could be quite something.

This is a normal post I can already do this with the mini hdmi port on my phone
It uses gingerbread and I can connect a PS3 controller to it. Just wondering what this would offer that is new? The advantage of using my phone as opposed to a console is that my phone provider will give me a shiny new upgraded one every 18 months.

Yes it's a low low price but there's better options if you've got shallow pockets.
Get yourself a Raspberry Pi if you want to be a hobbyist coder on the cheap.
