How did we get to the stage where helmets like this are telling us what humanity should and shouldn't be doing?

I'm pretty sure we've been at this point since civilisation began
We just have much bigger platforms to bollock from.

But the long term survival of the human race does depend on us colonising other worlds, so although Elon is a bit of a tool at least he is pushing us onto a path we might want to eventually consider.
At least he isn't trying to convince us we all need to cut off our foreskins to appease a sky wizard or anything.

what he's basically saying is prepare for WW3
Don't try and avoid it, prepare for it, it's inevitable. Nukes aren't as bad as all that so dont worry about Trump and Putin rearming. You and your kids will of course die in a fiery hell meanwhile I'll be safe in my moon base with the other swaggering wankers

I don't really think that is the biggest problem.
An extinction level event from runaway global warming, yellowstone erupting or a dinosaur sized asteroid collision seem more likely than total extinction through war.

Humans are too numerous and widespread to go extinct that easily.
And some are more resourceful and adaptable than the Passenger Pigeon.

Yeah, the Trilobites said that too.
They were the most widespread and successful species on the planet for over 700 million years.

Nukes aren't a big problem, nor is AI

You can design a virus that could kill millions but still it isn't likely to kill each and every person it infects.
And over time natural selection may favour strains that are less virulent. Artificial Insemination on the other hand will kill us all.

I see what you did there
I think without artificial insemination we’re all doomed when the number of genders equals the number of people

I can't see how colonising a cold lifeless rock is going to help much
Even if we succeed it's just another place to fuck up, probably far more quickly given its not-really-habitable environment. Anywhere better will probably take us longer to travel to than the lifespan of our species anyway.
The sensible thing to do would be to look after the tiny blue dot we have.

Pretty sure the percentage of cunts will remain a constant wherever humanity decides to pitch up.

You're an absolute bell end.
I'm basing that off everything you do and say here, by the way, not what you look like.
