This is a normal post BaC.
When you have more money than you could spend in about 7 lifetimes, it's time you let someone else have a sniff.

This is a normal post I'm going to start a company called "I am not Porsche.(TM)".
Good luck to me I say. Unfortunately I'm not a fancy-pants advertising executive trying to drum up publicity for my company with a dubious trademark registration.

This is a normal post Brand dilution?
Are they implying that "I am not a virgin" is a clever marketing trick they wish they had thought of, so that all the people who hate Virgin would end up giving Virgin money?

In light of this they have no leg to stand on.

This is a normal post Looks like they kinda do, or did, briefly...

They don't now, looks like it wasn't a go-er, so they gave up. I have no idea if that means they can still assert prior art in that industry in law or not.

This is a normal post Someone local to me got into trouble with Virgin when his plumbing business...
..."Virgin Plumbing" was told to change its name. I forget the first name of the plumber but let's call him 'Barry'. Anyway, "Barry Virgin" (his name) got quite miffed about this. There was no brand infringement at all as the logos and all that were completely different and I think he'd even been in business longer.

This is a normal post It's what happens why some buisness gets big using a "prefix"
Try starting a business starting with "easy" or a product with a lower case "i".

It wont be Branson himself sending out the letters but brand lawyers needing something to justify their wage.

They 'lympic having been at it too.
Wonder how long before this guy gets a letter

This is a normal post tell me about it.
we had a fight off a challenge from a brand lawyer for a giant telco trying to reserve the prefix oi + everything around their brand. we won, but if they'd taken us to court we coudnt have afforded the risk of losing
