Lots of twattish celebrities have been jostling to outdo each other's phoney outrage. I'm assuming the outrage is phoney, because if it's real then they're very thick people indeed.

Anyway, he missed a trick. He should have asked how it can be racist if he's white, and all the people the joke was targeted at were white.

On the one hand there's stupid ignorance, like people I used to know blacking up genuinely having no idea it was offensive.

On the other there are people out there who genuinely believe that some races are inferior to others.

The former get sacked, the latter get invited on Newsnight.
