They remind me of watching mini docs about how Blackpool rock/chocolate bars etc are made that they used to show on kids tv during playschool or playaway or possibly something else.

Remember watching this on Discovery Channel a few years ago
What I would like to see though is an episode of How It's Made that shows us how the actual automated machines that make the stuff are made, because they're clever, complex and mesmerizing.
