This is a normal post you sound pretty upset to me
did you take my advice about wearing a retainer at night? Even going NHS dental it's still better to look after your teeth

At least you’re much less verbose than usual.

This is a normal post Doesn’t take much to set you off.
Calling Joe Biden senile “No he isn’t, he’s just got a stammer, you terrible bully.” you’d bleat.
Calling Huw Edwards a nonce “This is horrific invasion of an innocent man’s private life. A storm in a teacup.” you’d whine.

This is a normal post Probably the best thing he’s ever wrote.
Someone once cajoled me into reading The Dark Tower. They were absolutely shite.

I quite liked the first book. I got another book and a half in before realising that one was an outlier and I was wasting my time reading further.

This is a normal post read a lot of fantasy books as a teen, quite an uneven category
that dark tower series reminded me of many of the sophomoric efforts of that genre. It almost felt like it was some adolescent creation he had to get off his chest. I've not read his horror books, but they must have something to commend them given their popularity

This is a normal post I read several of his books a long time ago. Mostly ones spoiled by iffy movies.
The short story collections were usually best. I did just get a copy of Fairy Tale recently and found that an interesting start. Whether I can stick with it to the end is another matter. I've another book (not his) I wanted to finish first.

This is a normal post I tried with The Dark Tower
and then I got to a very thick book that was just one single flashback.

I always skip flashbacks, a writer should give you the information you need about a character in the present, not in some form of exposition.

Put me off the whole series, and Stephen King as a writer.
