Some gorgeous looking visuals as usual from the fella, but also some wooden acting... fingers crossed this is awesome

P.S. If you haven't Seen The Fall, you may get the wrong impression of what this hopefully will be like

but I really don't like the visual style at all, same for 300.
I just find it to be gimmicky, overly stylised, showing off 'look what we can do' kind of bollocks. Plus they look to be butchering greek myths horribly too.
Give me content over style any day of the week.

...it did look exactly like the graphic novel.

And so on...
300 had all the depth of a puddle, and this looks even more lacking to be honest.

You know that guy you know who has everything Arnie, Van Damme, Vin Diesel and Bruce Lee ever made, LOVED the Saw franchise, owns 2 machetes mounted over his fireplace and some throwing stars in a dartboard and spends every weekend either playing gory video games or starting fights with quiet guys half his size in the pub, gets suspiciously touchy feely with you whenever he's very drunk and come to think of it, even tho he never shuts up about 'chicks' has never to your knowledge been known to actually have sex with one.
Well he's gonna LOVE this!

"The Fall", Tarsem's previous work is what I am judging this on

It has been known to happen. I'll dig The Fall out though, that looks interesting.

if I had an HD telly. I'm still using the widescreen CRT monster I had when I moved in. I had to lug it up three flights of stairs and I'm damned if I'm throwing it out while it still works.

The Fall blew me away. The first film in a while where I just had to immediately go back and watch some shots again they were so unbelievable. Apparently there is no cgi in any of the locations used.

IS there now a Powerpoint styleee drag and drop film trailer template for these CGI sword and sandal films?
( , Wed 27 Apr 2011, 15:07, Reply)

there might be one for the films too.
After the abortion that was the 3D CGI mushfest Clash Of The Titans I can well believe it.

He's the fecker I always get mixed with the Lucas Black from F&F:Tokyo Drift.
I have to say it's a close run thing but Lucas edges it for me on the acting stakes.
I also note that they appear to be making Avatar 2 and 3. Joy...

The 1st trailers for that film featured the tagline:
