I doubt we will still be around when the sun goes ballistic. It will probably be circles and something or us will wipe us out and life may start again. Hopefully more intelligent.

Big bang could be followed by a big crunch leadinging to another big bang.
Or there could be more than one "universe" stemming from multiple big bangs.
And by the time the sun goes nova we could well be populating the stars.
