This is starting to get on my tits*
What's with all the supporters standing outside cheering and the live news coverage? It just doesn't make sense to me.
It's not as though he's the embodiment of Wikileaks - if he fell under a bus (I reckon a lot of governments are currently hoping this happens) Wikileaks wouldn't suddenly cease to exist.
he does come across as an attention seeking whore
why the televised public appearance, why not release a written statement to the press?

As he said in many earlier interviews
His role is to be the guy that everyone attacks so that wikileaks can continue.
I don't understand why the average joe is angry about this.

For a long time he has adversely affected the credibility, neutrality and effectiveness of that organisation.
He should separate himself entirely from Wiki-leaks if he wants to do some good. I'm sure his friends at Russia Today will keep him stocked up with roubles?

I was hoping he was
going to do a poorly scripted open mic comedy set. "Work is like rape, you get out of it what you put in... is this mic on?"
