This is a normal post 46 seconds in and I've cringed enough.
I got so 'involved' in Forza earlier that after a three hour stint I got up, realised the room was stationary, completely lost balance and ended up faceplanting the wall...but that just goes too far. To be fair to him though, I think a lot of us have had a crack at paintball or airsoft before; not too different albeit a tad more dangerous.

This is a normal post Oh he's having fun, leave him be,
I'm realising late in life we'd all be a lot better off if we allowed ourselves to still play with our imaginations more, like we did as a kid, we often live pretty bleak lives as adults, when we're not slogging we're tired and bored, and especially in this country it's hard to afford to get out and do shit very often, so you're only option to break the monotony of it all most weeks is to learn to use your imagination again, lose yourself in a good book, watch a fave movie and really try and enter into in the whole plot and atmos, or indeed, play a shoot-em-up like you were really in mortal danger and try and totally lose yourself in the role, I think your brain really needs that kinda shit to just stop it numbing up from all the monotonous repetition, the idea of work hard and play harder is really quite an important one I'm reckoning 'cos your head needs the balance of good and bad, fun and toil, monotony and excitement, to stop it stagnating, I think a lot of us get depressed purely as a way of numbing down our crappy life due to having forgotten to do the fun shit, too.

Well, that or just do hard drugs.

This is a normal post Course, ya can also go too much the opposite direction too, fun fun fun looking for the biggest thrill and forgetting to take care of business
all a question of balance, like everything, find the two extremes in all things, wander a bit up n down the scale to stop yourself getting bored, but ultimately keep the balance somewhere in the middle where you're happy. Find your own goldilocks zone.

And don't die, can't emphasise that last bit strongly enough, definitely don't ever risk your whole life for a thrill, that's silly.

This is a normal post I used to finish Out Run on 10p in the college bar (early 90s)
throughout the evening I would have more cider and insist on drink-driving out run, you could prop the pint above the hi-lo gear lever. much hilarity as I could finish it then stumble off with one eye still closed to 'focus'.

This countries filled will nihilistic teenagers who are "keeping it real" who's last bit of imagination was burnt out by teletubbies.

This is a normal post Well if your too busy desperately trying to be cool and grown up and your only thrill is getting new shoes you think will impress your mates
I would say so, but lets face it, that's being a teenager, besides, if you're doing it right, you'll have plenty of fun from sex drugs and speedcore, the problem with most teens/youngsters is up till about mid twenties they normally don't have enough bad stuff to balance things out, and therefore have a completely skewed perspective on what the scale of life's important stuff is and where the goldilocks zone actually is, but that's just how their life is as yet, it changes after life throws enough crap and responsibilities at you, not to mention death and such, your scale of good and bad stretches downwards a fair bit.

This is a normal post Your not wrong
I find mushrooms and a good film with lots of atmosphere and lovely visuals works well, basically pick anything James Cameron, Ridley Scott or Joss Whedon touched.

Except Titanic.

And that weird Dolls show...

*edit* Technology, Chemistry and Biology, combine the three and you can get yourself into the 'god zone' now and then without having to still resort to animalistic instincts to get your thrills in life, doing it safely at home/in the cinema and just believing you did something spectacular will work just as well!

This is a normal post Not tried 'srooms. Or anything LSD like to be honest.
Would love to at some stage though, but I guess it has to be the right environment etc...

This is a normal post Just look up ethnobotanicals online, I use Herbaleye.co.uk
About a square inch of dried mushroom top is all you need to re-awaken your childhood imagination and find yourself watching Star Wars like your 11 again (much more and you'll be too trippy to ingest anything more thru any sense without it seeming almost painful!) also great for music, but I find I get VERY fussy about teh quality, you need a good TV and system or the artifacts and sound clipping and such get REALLY annoying!

Also: combined with sildenafil, fantastic lovey dovey sex! ;)

Any of the mushrooms?

This is a normal post The classic Fly Algaric
ya can't beat it.

Also some of the smokin blends ain't bad at all!

*edit* avoid salvia!! That stuff's nasty, either no effect or off ya tits, Kanna is a better alternative but tastes like shit, hence why their blends of nice tasting stuff and the active ingredients is a very good option, they do 'em well!

This is a normal post Fly Algaric? Are you sure sir?
I thought that was only safe when passed through the digestive tract of a reindeer and then taken via drinking the urine?
Pixie caps it what you're wanting for a shrooms night not done that it years though.

But I agree on salvia.... rotton stuff.

This is a normal post Why buy 'shrooms?
A local reservoir is absolutely awash with them at the moment

On the weed front, I'm celebrating the return of squidgy black for the first time in ages. Fookin expensive but well worth it :)

This is a normal post Wow
didn't realise there were any legal shrooms. And agreed about salvia, took three pulls and thought it wasn't working then it hit me like a train, then I got really depressed by a cold draft, luckily the trip only lasted about half an hour.

This is a normal post http://www.redeyefrog.co.uk/acatalog/Pre_Sterilised_Bags_Of_Grain.html

There are loads of differents strains - 'Yangoons' are my favourite. Never bothered with Fly Agarics; they're the reason Charles Clarke banned all the psylocibe ones in the first place :0(

This is a normal post Again, I'll give them a go
Always happy to find something better than what I already know in all I do, whole point of sharing information innit like guvnor?

Also, remember, we're all chemically, mentally and biologically different to one another, we're basically just a big organic sensing machine hooked to a super brain that rationalises and distils it all for our consciousness to ingest, then it records the results in the memory section of the brain and we learn, that's all we do, constantly, so if you adjust any part of that machine, via the chems, or thru the understanding of your biology thru scientific belief, how we work and perceive and touch and what the chems we introduce to it do to that, and how those we make inside ourselves do likewise and how both interact, and finally the concepts of what we believe to be truth about everything that we form in our minds through theory, test and observation, then your own sense of reality bends a little as you go thru life, each time you yourself come to some conclusion or epiphany in life then your perception of it changes, so each person, tho very similar, is an individual, and we ultimately live our own reality apart, so what works for one, might not work for another, we're all built different, biologically, mentally and chemically, we're not quite the same model of the machine, so Fly Algaric might be my perfect chem to release my imagination's potential, but not yours!

*edit* and if you're not afraid of trying legal powders, I recommend MXE, be damned careful with it, make sure what you receive is actually it for one thing, and don't over use it, maybe twice a week at the very most, but my word, used with care and purpose, it can release amazing things from the shadows of your mind, and playing games like Children Of Eden or Rez on it is spectacular!!
