Increase GIF Sizes
Can you up the size of GIFs to something like 1-2Mb?
400Kb is a bit small for GIFs nowadays, especially as screen resolutions are constantly increasing and the vast majority of people have broadband now

And make the FP image size a bit bigger?
400px is too small for stuff with a lot of detail in. Some phones now have displays over 1000 pixels wide, if that was the issue.

only problem is it would make the dance and cdc gif parties a nightmare
40mb of gifs to download would become 200mb which is probably an instant turn off for those on capped broadband/browsing on their phone.
One work around might be new posts can be 1-2mb but replies/reposts stay under 400k. But that would be a pain in the arse to keep reminding people.

I remember when people could be funny in 100kb back in the days before this became a haven for cartoon paedos and clever-but-dreary video trickery.
