Davros' Grandad confesses: On visiting my ex-wife's house, I wiped my bum on the toothbrush belonging to the bloke she ran off with. At least, I thought it was his toothbrush.

New toys
For me, nothing quite beats the buzz of riding my bicycle along leafy singletrack trails, enjoying all that the great outdoors has to offer.
So earlier on this year I treated myself to a new mountain bike, which duly turned up on my doorstep one cold and snowy morning. Despite the inclement weather, I couldn't resist taking it for a little spin.

I am in the market for a hardtail...
...I've already bought chickenlady a Merlin, a very impressive piece indeed (the Merlin. And I suppose chickenlady too come to think of it).
Singlespeeding looks ideal for the winter, but singlespeeders have a reputation for indulging in frightening amounts of debauchery when they get together that often results in people getting tattooed.

Hardtails for single track!
I was looking at that same cycle in a store recently and when I mentioned I ride single track and XC mostly the sales guy looked me right in the eye and asked how long I've had haemorrhoids. Dick.

Best to let your wallet do the replying for you...
...by taking it elsewhere.
Yep, I too love to ride singletrack, but I want a bike that'll handle rocky descents and flatter my modest abilities. The Marin succeeds at all these in spades.

Wish I could've...
But the same guy did me an outrageously good deal on a Specialized Epic Expert. He might've had the last laugh but I got a grand off a new bike so I'm claiming the win (in my mind)
