A fine effortMy two pence worth (as a qualified cycle instructor) is that depressingly, i'd wager that only about 5% of the cyclists on our road acutally have had any form of training, and therefore a fair majority of those on the road have no fucking clue what they are doing, especially when it comes to keeping themselves safe.
If anything, this is because in the main, we really don't give a shit about cycling in the UK, so most people can't be arsed to invest time and energy in doing it properly.
