Is that installable in Mythor is it a separate device? I'm watching a nice peaceful film on MythTV and getting a bit fed up with turning the sound down during the ad breaks. Now I remember why I rarely watch live TV, Myth is great at skipping the adverts automatically on recorded programmes.

It's actuallyan old guitar pedal, although I have thought about being able to do this in software.
You could use JACK (Jack Audio Connection Kit) to pipe the audio output through Rakarack and enable the volume limiter.
