I'm not a southernerBut gravy on chips is wrong. Not wrong in the sense of white socks with black shoes wrong but wrong in the cutting your hair with a strimmer sense of wrong. Chips are designed to be a crisp shell of near molten, soft potato. Why go to all that effort and smother it in bloody gravy- amongst the most disappointing of all sauces even when used correctly?
