Yum!
Tell us / show us / send us the best thing you've ever cooked or had cooked for you. Even if it is a £10 burger.
Or knock yourself out and tell us knock-knock jokes. Just make them funny and about sheds

Tinned new potatoes...
Drained and dried make a quick and dirty (almost) passable poor mans Roast Potato after a few minutes in the fryer.

Frey Bentos aren't proper pies.
I have never had one where the pastry doesn't end up like soggy cardboard and the filling isn't none existant

I knew someone who did as you describe
the remaining water content in the tinned potatoes quickly superheated to steam causing the potatoes to explode and spray very hot oil about the kitchen and onto their skin and into the eye. How we laughed on the way to the burns unit.

Sounds horrific.
The only accident I had with a fryer was when making pakora, the thing bubbled over.
I've still got gram flour stains on my walking boots.

Someone my dad knows
Dealt with a chip pan fire by lobbing it out of his kitchen window.
Unfortunately it was closed at the time.
