 Stuff I've found
Stuff I've foundFreddy Woo writes, "My non-prostitute-killing, lorry driving uncle once came home with a wedding cake. Found it in a layby, scoffed the lot over several weeks."
What's the best thing you've found?

 Right now
Right nowSomething I wish I could find is the box of screws for the now discontinued IKEA shelf unit that I had to dismantle when building work was being carried out in our place. The ones that I put in 'a safe place' so that I wouldn't bloody lose them.
I swear that there's a mini Bermuda Triangle in our house that swallows screws, pens, socks and remote controls when your not looking and then spews them back out in the most unlikely place imaginable - like under the dog's bed.
Hmmph.

 Have you looked
Have you lookedunder the dog's bed?
Just in case.
You'd feel silly if you didn't look there now, only to find eventually that's where they were all along.

They're definitely not in the dog, or under her bed.

'Scuse the language, but fucking hell!
'Scuse the language, but fucking hell!I've got one too!
I call it The Safe Place as I can only ever find things when I've just dumped them. When I hide them away safely they're lost for ever...
To me it's a black hole, not a bermuda triangle though. It's taken a mighty load of my possessions.

 unfunny but possibly useful...
unfunny but possibly useful...have you tried their online help instant messenger thing on their website?
a bit tedious, but 'anna' kindly sent me a whole bag of screws and dowel thingys for a discontinued chest of drawers after i lost them in a move. they were free and arrived within a week.

 My theory is wormholes
My theory is wormholesYou know when you sometimes find something odd in a drawer? You have no idea what it is? You've never seen it before?
That's because it's someone elses widget that they're currently desperately hunting for.
Nothing ever gets lost - it just gets shifted round a bit...

 Kitchen drawers
	Kitchen drawersnearly every time...
well it was worth a look, they might have been there!
Anna isn't very helpful if you don't have a part number...if anyone knows what the part number is for a plastic bottle that was part of a washing up liquid dispenser they sold 7 years ago I'd be very happy.

try this ..... it makes sense
try this ..... it makes sensealright Darvo,
here's a top tip for furtniture dismantling that works - Stick all the screws and nuts and tools provided into a plastic bag and then sellotape securely the motherfuckers onto a main section of the furnishing object, hey presto ! no more lost screws apart from the ones the pricks in IKEA left you short to begin with.
let me know how this goes for you..

 Cheers all
Cheers allI took a trip down to Ikea on the off chance they would have spares - they didn't. So I've found some normal screws that seem to have done the job - it hasn't fallen over yet, so....
I'll also try the putting in a bag and taping them to a surface trick next time as well.
