This is a question Stuff I've found

Freddy Woo writes, "My non-prostitute-killing, lorry driving uncle once came home with a wedding cake. Found it in a layby, scoffed the lot over several weeks."

What's the best thing you've found?

I found
...that most people on B3TA don't know how to spell 'lose', and in fact, add an extra 'O'.

A lot of people make that same mistake
I've see signs and notice boards with 'loose' on instead of 'lose'. It's not their fault they were all brought up wrong.

Anybody who confuses cue, queue and que can go get to fuck for all I care.

In addition to this
people who spell weird "wierd" ought to have their eyes poked out with knitting needles covered in stinging nettles.

I can't spell very well
and never have been able to. As such, I have to rely on remembering things like "I before E, except after C" in order to spell things correctly. As such, I would spell weird incorrectly.

However, I do not lack an education.

unless of course
You had a foreign over height and weight kaleidoscope ♫♫

lose or loose
I thought it was just because you Brits don't know how to spell. The spelling rules in Britan are just too loose.

(I'll proabaly lose any chance of having any credibility on this board because of this post).

somehow
I have a feeling the extra "O" may be deliberate.

I've found visiting this site too often disturbs me :S

I think
it's world over, not just B3TA. I see it on the BBC for Christ's sake!

Some cunt
said to me 'your spelling is usually faultless, but you keep misspelling 'wierd' as 'weird'.

Of course, this caused me to 'loose' my temper.

Their's A Differrence...
... between education and pedantry.

I like to see an element of effort put into a post and not littered with grammatical error or 'yoof speek', but we're only human...

Some people read well or add-up-numbers-good; give the latter a break!

This seems to be
something which has crept in over the last couple of years, becoming more and more frequent - it's the spelling mistake which irritates me more than any other, for some reason. It should be obvious to all but a complete illiterate that loose is a different word to lose. What do they do then they actually mean "loose" - do they add a third "o"?
(, Mon 10 Nov 2008, 15:45, closed)
Maybe...
people added the extra 'o' to emphasise their grief! Like "I loost it :( *sobs*"
I regularly add extra letters to things.

Or maybe they're just pants.

Hmm...
Can you use it in a sentance?
