For having a complete nuclear meltdown, just at a time when it was looking possible to reduce our carbon emissions and requirement to import fuel in a major way by building new nuclear power stations.

Looks very promising. Some say that it must be working well (the US Navy tends to keep the results under its hat for some time before releasing them to the public) as work on naval railguns is now progressing apace. The thing holding those up was the lack of electrical power on warships.
