This is a question Hypocrisy

Overheard the other day: "I've told you before - stop swearing in front of the kids, for fuck's sake." Your tales of double standards please.

Frogs
and their fine cuisine:

Coq au vin - meat stew
Chicken chasseur - meat stew
Boeuf Bourgignon - meat stew
Bouilabase - meat stew (but with fish)
Baguette avec brie - cheese sandwich (with funny cheese and funny bread)

If they tried Shepards Pie they'd fucking die.

let's send them loads
of Shepherd's Pie but label it as coq au vin.

I hate French cooking, Rick Stein winds me the fecking hell up always going on about it. His other stuff is fine but for feck's sake Rick, you're English, leave them to fester in their pates and hideously flavoured sauces designed to cover up the fact that every piece of meat they eat is horse.

I had a French friend
who just couldn't get over custard. She had never had it, or heard of it before she came to England. She declared it to be the best foodstuff on the planet.

Also, I understand, the French just don't understand jelly. It's one of those things where a French child who is on an exchange will be terrified the host family will make them eat, just like the English and snails or frogs legs. When you think about it, it is rather gross. Boiled up pigs feet flavoured with fruit.

And french for custard is...
Crème anglaise. (English Cream)

As for Jelly... it is quintessentially English. However, during the middle ages, you know how they made green jelly? With the urine of a young boy.

Also, that Italian dessert, Tiramisù, is actually coffee flavoured trifle without the Jelly. Basically, because the Italians didn't know how to make jelly. And what is the name of the 'original' dessert in Italy that gave rise to Tiramisù?

Zuppa inglese. (English soup)

Seems
the Italians don't do soup either.

Mind you,
Tiramisu is delicious and trifle is fucking foul.

Ah, comedic faux racism
Without the comedy

I wonder which country will be the target for your insipid ponderings next time? I can hardly wait...

I'm all in favour..
...of any cuisine that advocates eating horses.

It's a very tasty bit of meat, it's annoying that I struggle to get it over here.

I love French cooking but hate the French (just to keep it on point).
