this kind of post always confuses me. let me see if i can summarise my understanding
so... you ("you" being more general than just this OP) are winding up the trolls. who come along to troll. then you tell the trolls that you were doing it to get a rise out of them. and they say that they weren't rising but were just laughing at you pretending you were rising when really you were actually rising to get a rise out of them for getting a rise out of you but really they weren't rising to it.

did i do that correctly?
