Old stuff I still know
Our Ginger Fuhrer says that he could still code up a simple game idea in Amstrad Basic, while I'm your man if you ever need to rebuild the suspension on an Austin Allegro (1750 Equipe version). This stuff doesn't leave your mind - tell us about obsolete talents you still have.

I remembered last night
That I can slice a banana without opening or cutting the peel. It's not much of a talent, but watching my 4 year old nieces reaction when she peeled it made me glad I remembered I could do it.

With a needle
push it through some of the black dots on the skin so the holes don't show and move it up and down to cut through the banana itself.

Ah...
OK. So it's not so much "without opening" as "using only small openings".
MEANWHILE:
I used google to learn the same thing, and saw a vid of it being done on YouTube. Then I clicked on one of the related vids, which purported to be a magic trick.
Can someone please tell me what's going on here? In what sense is this a magic trick? What am I missing?

Stitch internal squares through he skin at regular intervals then when you tear the thread out it disconnects the segments well enough to fall apart when opened.
