This is definatly a victory for me.

Just accept your crushing defeat and move on.

happy now?
(, Thu 6 Jan 2011, 15:37, Reply)
Much better.

(, Thu 6 Jan 2011, 15:40, Reply)
on a serious note
I am impressed with your poleskillz. I have a query though, are the moves static, and if so how long would you tend to hold them for?

or is the aim to move fluidly from one to another?
(, Thu 6 Jan 2011, 15:42, Reply)
Thanks
The ones in the pictures are static, yes. Hold them for a couple of second each, and then transition into the next one, usually without coming down. I don't really have enough room for transitions in my room though, so when I practice here, it tends to be: 'one move, come down, start again' rather than 'position - transition - position - transition' etc.
(, Thu 6 Jan 2011, 15:45, Reply)
it did look like quite a small room
you should get some charity shop crockery and put it around the place, then video a comedy pole routine where you kick it all to pieces.
(, Thu 6 Jan 2011, 15:47, Reply)

Well, 300-500 cals per serving
butternut squash and "chicken" curry, baba ganoush, the ingredients for homemade bean burgers, etc.
(, Thu 6 Jan 2011, 15:29, Reply)
I've got a good recipe for chickpea curry somewhere
that doesn't have meat in so it's probably good for you.
(, Thu 6 Jan 2011, 15:31, Reply)
Ooh, yes, I was meant to make chickpea and spinach pilaf last night
Instead I fell up the stairs.

Gaz it to me if you find it, I'm most likely off the meat at the mo.
(, Thu 6 Jan 2011, 15:31, Reply)
You sound like my mum.

(, Thu 6 Jan 2011, 15:35, Reply)

My mother is a lezzer, my sister is in the fucking Old Bill
and my father used to be a chaplain.

*shakes head in disbelief*
(, Thu 6 Jan 2011, 15:46, Reply)
Your family ticks nearly every fucking diversity box then?
Well, aside from the foreign ones.

My dad used to be a Reverend. Thus, my McDonalds friends found it hilarious to sing 'Son Of A Preacher Man' at me when I was dealing with angry customers.
(, Thu 6 Jan 2011, 15:48, Reply)
I, too, have had that song sung to me
by a million-and-one 'comedy geniuses' all of whom where completely convinced they were the first person so to do.
(, Thu 6 Jan 2011, 15:57, Reply)
I'll have a look tonight
or go to the pub to meet a girl, either/or
(, Thu 6 Jan 2011, 15:38, Reply)

good for you not actually food.
(, Thu 6 Jan 2011, 15:32, Reply)
500 calories per serving is not low!

(, Thu 6 Jan 2011, 15:33, Reply)
why, how many meals a day do you eat?
3 meals, 500 calories per serving, is 1500 calories. that's low in anybody's book. Even the laziest arse gets through about 2000 a day just existing.
(, Thu 6 Jan 2011, 15:34, Reply)
I eat five meals a day at around 250 each.

(, Thu 6 Jan 2011, 16:02, Reply)
It's not bad... I think I was eating around 800 cals per serving without realising.
Got to ease myself in.
(, Thu 6 Jan 2011, 15:35, Reply)
Baba ganoush is fucking gorgeous.

(, Thu 6 Jan 2011, 15:34, Reply)

I'm very sorry to hear that. I hope you feel better soon.

(, Thu 6 Jan 2011, 15:38, Reply)

(, Thu 6 Jan 2011, 15:39, Reply)
