Spent the mornIng in a secondary school and witnessed chaos. Fuck that.

First lesson was ok with the year 11's thEn it was yr 10 re.
Took twenty minutes to start the lesson, four people sent out, girls openly talking about sex in one corner ,two boys fighting and countless other madness. All in 45 minutes.

Sounds like you had a lucky escape.
I can't for the life of me think why anyone would want to teach teenagers.
(, Wed 19 Jan 2011, 12:14, Reply)
They would eat you alive Bobby.

I know. I would havE lost it with one of them, he was a cunt.
Wouldn't leave one of the only ones trying alone. MADDENS ME

Might take them a while.

^this
Oh, so much ^this.

I was teaching french to remedial students from a sink estate in a Somerset shithole. Half of them could barely read and write in English.

Added to that, I was female and in my twenties. I had no fucking chance discipline-wise.

So many people have suggested I go into teaching.
What you have described is exactly the kind of thought that has always prevented me.

I'd love to teach the baby ones
Adults are fine too, cos they actually want to learn, but a lot of language work is role-play, and not many adults are willing to act like tits in a class full of other adults.

I would like to teach baby ones
but then there's snot and stuff.
Also they would be better than me at maths.
(, Wed 19 Jan 2011, 12:25, Reply)
Apparently the little ones are horrible too
Because they haven't learnt how to be proper people yet, they can be pretty harsh.
(, Wed 19 Jan 2011, 12:29, Reply)
I've always babysat, so harshness of little'uns doesn't get to me
but the snot of a complete stranger? Hmmm...
(, Wed 19 Jan 2011, 12:33, Reply)
And they wee themselves
Kids are rubbish. I want nothing to do with them until they become of an age where they're not just essentially animals.

The idea of being a nanny appeals
But then I remember that most people are cocks who have neither the ability nor the inclination to discipline their babbies and therefore I would be harassed all day by arrogant brats that I'm not allowed to correct.
(, Wed 19 Jan 2011, 12:40, Reply)
Psychological torture is your only option then.
I'd make them watch Watership Down, then buy them rabbits.
(, Wed 19 Jan 2011, 12:40, Reply)
have you seen The Plague Dogs?

(, Wed 19 Jan 2011, 12:46, Reply)
Nope, never heard of it either...
Just looked it up though, holy fuck!

Think Richard Adams was a bit of a nutter?
