Painter?!
I don't have a favourite painter. I don't care about painters. There are some that are talented, sure, and some pieces of art that I like, but I don't have a favourite painter.

To put this into perspective for you Monty, what's your favourite video game design studio?

I would say Valve
but I'm fickle and they take too long.
(, Thu 20 Jan 2011, 15:16, Reply)
Valve are consistently good, but do take their time
Mine's Looking Glass/Irrational Games, if only for System Shock 2 and the Bioshock games.

Any idea when the next HL episode is out
I've stopped following gaming news it's wank.
(, Thu 20 Jan 2011, 15:23, Reply)
Still no news on it whatsoever

Lionhead.
I fucking love Fable so much.
(, Thu 20 Jan 2011, 15:24, Reply)
Fable disappointed me
As did 2. Not played 3 yet, but Molyneux has a tendency to hype the fuck out of his games, then say "oh, we had to take certain features out unfortunately". Why's that, Pete? Because they probably aren't fucking possible?!
(, Thu 20 Jan 2011, 15:37, Reply)
3 is good, but fucks up halfway through.

(, Thu 20 Jan 2011, 15:39, Reply)
Colour me surprised.

(, Thu 20 Jan 2011, 15:41, Reply)
Didn't they sing "I wanna sex you up"?

(, Thu 20 Jan 2011, 15:46, Reply)
POTD

(, Thu 20 Jan 2011, 15:49, Reply)
Nah, Colour Me Surprised did "I Wanna Rape You Up".

(, Thu 20 Jan 2011, 15:59, Reply)
They don't make 'em like that anymore, do they?

(, Thu 20 Jan 2011, 16:03, Reply)
Still not played 3
I love love loved 1 and 2 though.
(, Thu 20 Jan 2011, 15:42, Reply)
I like Rovio cos they made Angry Birds

(, Thu 20 Jan 2011, 15:20, Reply)
I like Creative Assemblies
because Shogun is one of my favourite games of all time, as is Medieval II. Shogun II is out this year and it's giving me the excuse to break out my awesome Japanese kung fu bad guy voice.
(, Thu 20 Jan 2011, 15:26, Reply)
Shogun was class
Never played the others, not a huge strategy game fan.

(, Thu 20 Jan 2011, 15:33, Reply)
So GTA 1 and 2, before Rockstar acquired them?

(, Thu 20 Jan 2011, 15:35, Reply)
few old games as well
like Blood Money

bunch of the old Psygnosis stuff.

also, LucasArts have made most of my favourite ever games.
(, Thu 20 Jan 2011, 15:50, Reply)
the Monkey Island series?
infuriating fun those games.
(, Thu 20 Jan 2011, 15:52, Reply)
Anything they made with the SCUMM engine was awesome
Day of the Tentacle, Monkey Island etc.
(, Thu 20 Jan 2011, 15:53, Reply)
Indy and the Last Crusade was utterly stupendous
that game gave me a great deal of enjoyment over many years.

I've just discovered that it was developed by Mindscape, after they were taken in by LucasArts. Mindscape were also responsible for my all time favourite game, Moonstone.
(, Thu 20 Jan 2011, 15:54, Reply)
Same here,
Sadly point-and-click adventure games have died a death.
(, Thu 20 Jan 2011, 15:56, Reply)
I'm pleased they released the special editions of the first two Monkey Islands
they were great.

The recent episodic Tales from MI weren't bad either.

Which one did 'Daley Thompson's Decathlon?'

That one.
(, Thu 20 Jan 2011, 15:36, Reply)
Ocean?

(, Thu 20 Jan 2011, 15:38, Reply)
No, she went of her own accord.

(, Thu 20 Jan 2011, 15:39, Reply)
Isn't that the answer to the question 'Jamaica?'?

(, Thu 20 Jan 2011, 15:59, Reply)
Yes.

(, Thu 20 Jan 2011, 16:29, Reply)
Yep, they also did worms but they're dead now I think

(, Thu 20 Jan 2011, 15:40, Reply)
I thought Team 17 did Worms?
Edit: Wiki says Ocean and Team 17 co-produced Worms.
(, Thu 20 Jan 2011, 15:44, Reply)
Daley Thompson's Decathlon ...
also known as 'How to wreck your joystick in an afternoon'
(, Thu 20 Jan 2011, 15:55, Reply)
that's why you needed a Cruiser
even when they did eventually break they could be fixed by using Lego and bits of eraser to hold the microswitches in place.
(, Thu 20 Jan 2011, 15:56, Reply)
Daley really wasn't worth such ingenuity.

(, Thu 20 Jan 2011, 16:11, Reply)
