Last night's cold Chinese.I'd make them sit through Moulin Rouge. Partly because I had to so everyone else should have to suffer, and partly because once I tell them that the film was generally well-received, they'll pity us to such an extent that they'll fuck off.

It's not complicatedMoulin Rouge was shite. I can't stand Baz Luhrmann at the best of times, his films are all coated with such a veneer of ooh-look-at-me-aren't-I-fantastic pretension. And when you bear in mind what his debut was, that is not something I say lightly

I so loved Strictly Ballroom.But I agree about Moulin Rouge. Didn't even finish watching it and I rarely do that.

The first time I saw Strictly Ballroom I thought it was fucking ridiculousThe outfits, the hair, the fake tan. Now when I watch it I find it a little too close to home and painful. It was better when I could laugh at it.

I really liked it.Yep, I'm sure this'll mean I'm a 'bumder' and all that shite, but I thought the film was superb, made me laugh my arse off in bits, and I got to perve on Nicole Kidman.
