Tonight I shall be on the rampage, I suspect.
Saturday, weather permitting, I shall open every door and window in my grotty little hovel and do some spring cleaning, I shall then potter up to Broadway Market for the farmer’s market, where I shall purchase some deli-style treats and a black pudding scotch egg. I shall have a pint at The Dove and then return home, scoff my treats and then either stay over at my daughter’s* or do something quiet, ideally with Lusters.

Sunday is daughter day, after which, joyful and cheery as I always am after seeing her, I intend to cook Lusty a nice meal.

*this depends entirely on how the letter I wrote my ex yesterday is received. I’ve had it reviewed by rational people who tell me it’s fine – but I may well have opened the gates of hell anyway. Wish me luck.

Alt: I beg your fucking pardon?

Good luck. What did the letter say?

(, Fri 25 Mar 2011, 9:03, Reply)
It just said
"A modern-day warrior mean mean stride, today's Tom Sawyer mean mean pride" over and over, formatted like a letter, like Jack Torrance was writing to complain to his local council that the binmen hadn't taken his green wheelie bin for a month now.

I like this.

Thanks, that makes perfect sense.

Best if you don't know, old chap.

1)I would like to see the research you have done re schools which you have repeatedly refused to show me. I would also ideally like to sit down with you one evening to talk about it, which you have also refused.

2) I would like my daughter to start staying over at mine regularly, which you have refused. She has all the necessary facilities inc toys etc and would only be 5 mins from home. You let me look after her at yours and even take her to a boisterous party recently so clearly you've no objection to how I look after her - please give me your objections in writing.

3) I want to take her to her gradmother's 60th birthday lunch , which you have refused. This will be a polite, genteel affair and a great way for her to get to know the half of her family she barely knows.

I want all your reasons for objecting to the above in writing within 7 days, you fucking Greco wanker.

I think the last line
sells the letter. Sweet, calm and rational

That's racist. I do not approve.

In all seriousness, good course of action as regards dealing with the mental and the very best of luck

I'm extremely good at writing letters etc
and I'm hoping she'll think it's a precursor to further legal action and capitulate: it makes me very sad, but I've learnt that she responds better to threats than reason.
(, Fri 25 Mar 2011, 9:27, Reply)
It is a real shame that it has to come to this
but the wording would certainly put the wind up me and encourage contact as a precursor to actual legal action. Hoping it makes her see sense and be more reasonable
(, Fri 25 Mar 2011, 9:29, Reply)
He gave her a good skewering

(, Fri 25 Mar 2011, 9:25, Reply)
Nice one our kid
How're you keeping?
(, Fri 25 Mar 2011, 9:29, Reply)
Not bad thanks fella, yourself?

(, Fri 25 Mar 2011, 9:39, Reply)
Yeah good thanks mate
Getting back into running, which will hopefully mean that this year is finally the one that sees me shift the last of my gut. Either that or I'm going to spend a lot of time complaining about my legs hurting
(, Fri 25 Mar 2011, 9:43, Reply)
How can she go against such carefully reasoned logic?
By being mental, that's how.

*crosses fingers anyway*

If you do open the gates of hell then buffy will move in near you.
