I was really talking about mens.
I've recently moved on to the over-the-knee sock on a daytime basis. I find them very comfy. And, as you say, they can be a bit sexeh.

A friend of mine would wear suspenders and stockings as a matter of course
She found them comfier than tights.

Hold-ups are fine. In fact, I wore them when I got married : )
but suspenders are quite uncomfortable.
I remember in the 80s or 90s a friend of mine discovered these tights things that came in single legs, with a sort of waistband affair, kind of like stockings. Apparently the idea was somewhere between 'more comfortable suspenders' and 'if you ladder one, you only replace one'.
Or something. They don't seem to make them any more, so they probably died a death.

Nah, I find holdups fall down, so I like the security of suspenders. Just annoying when one pings off.

I think if you get your hold ups above the fattest bit, they're there for life.
Unless you get body lotion on the rubber bit, and you're late for a very important date and you have no spares and there are no hold-ups in the Boots in Euston station.

It is!
I could lie here and say I'm better, but I'm a hypochondriac, and it's just not our way.
How are you doing?

I only had Friday off, and that was a pre-booked holiday.
This is most uncharacteristic. I have even honoured all my pub shifts, whilst sniffing and swigging wine.
