Isn't it Edinburgh in which you live?
I thought property was quite expensive up there?

It is. Don't listen to him.

Thought so.
A mate was at Napier in the early 90's and it was bloody expensive then.

And it's got far worse since then.
A 'massive city centre flat' will set you back £500K.

You're looking in the wrong place then
My 3 bed victorian job by the Botanics was 250k.

Ah - by 'city centre' I was thinking New Town - Queen Street etc.

(, Tue 5 Apr 2011, 16:00, Reply)
well that's 10 mins walk away. Princes St is 15.
I think I'm entitled to call that city centre ;)

That area is a fuck sight nicer than the New Town anyway.. IMO.

I'm always amazed at how compact the city centre seems to be.
It's like an Escher print; you turn a corner and find yourself exactly where you were ten minutes ago.

Dean Village always astounds me.
How you manage to fit a place like that between Gorgie and Stockbridge without anyone noticing is beyond me really.
(, Tue 5 Apr 2011, 16:10, Reply)
I used to live in Gorgie which is also a 15 minute walk from Princes Street
but it is a shitehole.
(, Tue 5 Apr 2011, 16:12, Reply)
Inverleith is very nice though.

(, Tue 5 Apr 2011, 16:17, Reply)
relatively
it's still a fuck sight cheaper than when I was living in the south east. And more pleasant.
(, Tue 5 Apr 2011, 15:56, Reply)
I'd agree with you there.
I love Edinburgh.
(, Tue 5 Apr 2011, 16:00, Reply)
This^
Only good times have been had in Edinburgh
(, Tue 5 Apr 2011, 16:16, Reply)
We try to go up a few times a year.
£6 each way on the train and a day hauling around the pubs... cheaper than getting a taxi back from Morpeth that is.
