My running has gone to pot but I find I do much better with some good choons on my ipod.

I can't run with music on
I try and match the pace of the songs and it knackers me out/puts me off.
Instead I just try and zone out - zen and the art of running, lol.

That's exactly why I plan my jogging routes along the river!
Pretty flowers in sunshine takes my mind off the burning pain in my thighs.

I do still listen to music when I run but had to take "The Island" by Pendulum off my playlist, it had the effect of making me run like a mentalist for 9 minutes and then suddenly realise I was dying.

I do the same, match my pace to music
I've made a playlist of appropriately-BPM'd songs, after a foolish shuffle endeavour left me knackered after some 160 BPM hardcore came on...

A blur of lycra-clad athletes belting down the street
Yelling out "Hard! Core! Motherfucker!" in perfect unison

Jonny Violence is actually a competing cyclist I believe
So this is rather plausible!

I genuinely doubt anyone will come up with a more obscure fact today
